Aaron Tshibola’s long road back to the top of the game now has a World Cup at the end of it.
Kilmarnock have confirmed that the midfielder has been called into DR Congo’s squad for the 2026 finals, a late but richly deserved reward for a player who has quietly driven their survival push in the Scottish Premiership.
From winter return to World Cup stage
Tshibola re-joined Killie for a fourth spell at the end of the winter transfer window, a move that initially felt like a familiar reunion rather than the start of a career-defining chapter. Then he started running games.
