Arsenal Extends Emirates Partnership Until 2033

Arsenal have moved quickly to capitalise on their return to the top of English football, announcing on Thursday a new long-term extension to their strategic partnership with Emirates airline that will run until 2033.

One of the most recognisable alliances in the sport now stretches close to three decades. The Emirates name will remain on the front of Arsenal’s shirts, on their training kit and above the doors of the Emirates Stadium, preserving one of the defining visuals of the Premier League era.

The relationship began in 2006, just as Arsenal left Highbury for their new home. Since then, the airline’s logo has become as much a part of the club’s modern identity as the red shirt itself. With this renewal, Emirates continues as the driving force behind the longest continuous club shirt sponsorship in Premier League history.

For Arsenal, fresh from being crowned Premier League champions, the timing is no accident. The club see the agreement as a financial and symbolic pillar for the next phase of their project: turning a title win into a sustained era of contention, powered by commercial muscle that matches their on-pitch ambition.

“Winning the Premier League title represents an exceptional moment in the club's history, and Emirates has been a key partner in this journey, standing beside us at the various stages we have gone through over the past two decades,” he said, stressing how the renewal underpins belief in what comes next.

“Renewing the partnership reflects both parties' belief in Arsenal's future and their shared desire to continue developing and achieving more successes.”

From Emirates’ side, this is no mere logo placement. Sir Tim Clark, president of the airline, framed the deal as a relationship that has outgrown traditional sponsorship. Over the years, the two have built a global platform that has carried Arsenal into new markets and delivered fan initiatives on a scale neither could have managed alone. For the airline, staying on the shirt means staying at the heart of that story.

Two decades on, the partnership is being treated as a milestone, not a routine renewal. In the coming weeks Arsenal and Emirates will mark 20 years together with a series of fan-focused events and activities, underlining how deeply the link now runs through the club’s matchday and global identity. A new promotional film is also on the way, revisiting the standout moments of the partnership and featuring German defender and club legend Per Mertesacker, a figure who straddles Arsenal’s recent past and its academy-driven future.

The next chapter begins immediately. The new phase of the deal will be celebrated as Arsenal host Borussia Dortmund in the Emirates Cup at the Emirates Stadium, with special plans in place to mark the occasion.

A title on the board, a flagship sponsor tied down for another decade, and a stadium whose name has become shorthand for the club itself: Arsenal have put down a marker. Now they have to live up to it.
