The Athletic reports that Arsenal have reached an agreement with the 16-year-old England youth international, leaving only the compensation fee between the clubs to be resolved. Joseph, who has already caught the eye with his form at international and youth level, is poised to swap Anfield for north London as part of Arsenal’s aggressive push to strengthen their talent pipeline.
Arsenal’s champions keep building
Mikel Arteta’s side go into the new season as defending Premier League champions, but there has been no sense of standing still. Investment has not just targeted the first team; it has run right through the club’s structure, with the academy a clear priority.
Joseph is the latest step in that strategy. Arsenal have an agreement in place with the teenager, who has been on Liverpool’s books but did not sign scholarship terms this summer after his schoolboy registration expired. That decision opened the door for other clubs, and Arsenal have moved quickly.
