Besiktas Makes Final Offer for Mohamed Salah
Besiktas have pushed their chips to the middle of the table in the chase for Mohamed Salah – and now they wait.
Club president Serdal Adali has confirmed that the Istanbul side have made what he describes as their “final official offer” to the former Liverpool forward, placing the decision squarely in the Egyptian’s hands.
Speaking to Turkish outlet Ortacizgi, Adali laid out the state of play in unusually open terms for a transfer of this magnitude. Negotiations with Salah and his camp, he said, have been running for some time, covering every detail of a potential deal.
“As has been published in the media, we have for some time been conducting negotiations with Salah and his representatives regarding the details of the deal,” Adali explained. Talks then moved into their decisive phase, with Besiktas weighing up the financial and sporting demands coming from the player’s side.
“In the final stage, we discussed the demands of the player and his representatives from all angles, and after mutual negotiations, we submitted our final official offer. We also asked them to inform us of their decision within a short period.”
The message is clear: Besiktas have gone as far as they are prepared to go.
Adali underlined that the club’s wider transfer business is “continuing at full force”, but when it comes to Salah, the parameters are now fixed. “This is the current situation regarding Salah. We have assessed the amendments requested since the start of the negotiations, in line with the club's interests, and we have submitted our final offer. Now the decision lies with the player.”
That last line hangs in the air. Besiktas have made their pitch. Salah must now decide whether to anchor a new project on the Bosphorus or look elsewhere for the next chapter of his career.
Reports of the club’s pursuit have circled persistently throughout the current window, and the outlines of the proposed deal are already emerging. According to respected Italian journalist Nicolo Schira, Besiktas have reached an agreement on personal terms with Salah and his agent. The offer on the table is for a one-season contract, worth up to €12 million.
For Besiktas, landing a global star of Salah’s stature would be a thunderclap moment, a signing that would reshape the perception of the Super Lig and ignite their season before a ball is kicked. For Salah, it is a short, high-value commitment, but also a bold step into a very different stage.
