Crystal Palace Signs Anan Khalaili: A New Era Begins

Crystal Palace have moved decisively in the market, sealing the signing of Israel international Anan Khalaili on a long-term deal running through to 2031.

The Eagles are understood to have paid around £21m for the 21-year-old, a modern, multi-purpose wide player who can operate either as a full-back or higher up as a winger. It is a statement investment in both youth and versatility.

Khalaili arrives from Union Saint-Gilloise, where his impact was immediate. Joining the Belgian side in 2024, he helped drive them to a historic Belgian Pro League title – their first in 90 years – and added a Belgian Cup to cap a remarkable campaign. Six goals across the season underlined his threat, with three of those coming on the biggest stage of all, in the Champions League.

That European pedigree now feeds straight into Palace’s Europa League push. Pierre Sage gains a player who has already felt the weight of knockout nights and title races, and handled it.

"I have followed the Premier League for a long time, it's a new challenge for me," Khalaili said after completing the move. "And Crystal Palace I like, because I have followed them for a long time. They have deserved to win three trophies and I want to do more."

The ambition is clear. Palace, under Sage, are building something with depth and edge, and Khalaili becomes the fifth signing of the summer.
