Edin Dzeko will still be leading the line for Schalke after his 41st birthday. The veteran Bosnia and Herzegovina striker has signed a contract extension, tying his remarkable late-career chapter in Gelsenkirchen to the club’s return to the Bundesliga.
He arrived in January 2026 as a short-term fix. He quickly became the heartbeat of a promotion charge.
