Endrick's Future at Real Madrid: Loan Options and Next Steps
Real Madrid’s attacking puzzle is complete. The fallout has a name: Endrick.
Over the last week, the club have moved decisively in the market, sealing deals for striker Carlos Espi from Levante and winger Yan Diomande from RB Leipzig. With those two signatures, Jose Mourinho’s forward line for the 2026-27 season looks stacked, settled and, for at least one young talent, suddenly unforgiving.
Endrick squeezed by Madrid’s new hierarchy
No one at Valdebebas will pretend this is good news for Endrick. Espi walks straight into the centre-forward rotation. Diomande brings pace and width in the very zones where the Brazilian likes to operate. Two arrivals, both in his areas of the pitch, both ahead of him in Mourinho’s immediate plans.
That reality jars with the player’s recent trajectory. From January to May, Endrick used his loan spell at Lyon to raise his profile and his confidence. He delivered the kind of performances that usually earn a second look, not a step back. His stock climbed; his pathway at Madrid has just narrowed.
The message is blunt: minutes will be scarce. For a 20-year-old forward still stitching together his game at the highest level, that is a risk the club are reluctant to take.
Madrid open the door
Inside the Bernabéu offices, the stance is clear. Real Madrid are willing to sanction an Endrick exit this summer. Not a permanent break, but a strategic step away. They know Mourinho, in his first season back, will lean on experience and established names. They also know what happens to young attackers who spend a year watching from the bench. Development stalls. Confidence dips. Careers drift.
So a loan is on the table, and not just as a theoretical option. Endrick is drawing interest from Real Sociedad, a club with a track record of giving young attackers responsibility in a structured side. That route would keep him in La Liga, close to Madrid’s gaze and within a familiar tactical landscape.
Yet England is calling as well. According to Ramon Alvarez de Mon, Madrid are working on a deal that would send Endrick to the Premier League on a temporary basis. Different league, different rhythm, different pressure. For a forward with his explosiveness, it could be a brutal education or a perfect launchpad.
Fulham in the frame, but do they need him?
If Fulham step firmly into the race, they may quickly move towards the front of the queue. The Alvaro Arbeloa connection gives them a natural line into Madrid and into the player’s camp. It’s the kind of relationship that can accelerate negotiations and smooth the rough edges of a cross-border loan.
There is, however, a footballing question to answer in west London. Fulham have already brought in Gonzalo Garcia this week, bolstering their attacking options, and added midfielder Cesar Palacios as well. Another forward would add depth, but also congestion. Any club taking Endrick will need to guarantee what Madrid cannot right now: a clear role and meaningful minutes.
A crucial decision in the final weeks
As the transfer window ticks towards its close, the pattern is emerging. Staying at Madrid would almost certainly mean a season of cameos and Copa del Rey starts. Leaving, at least temporarily, offers risk but also relevance.
Several clubs are circling, each offering a different version of the same promise: play, grow, come back better. For Madrid, a loan safeguards an asset. For Endrick, it could define the next phase of his career.
