Ferran Torres Joins PSG from Barcelona
Ferran Torres’ time at FC Barcelona is over. The Spanish forward is heading to Paris Saint-Germain after the two clubs reached an agreement over his transfer, closing a four-and-a-half-season spell in blaugrana colours.
Barcelona confirmed the move and signed off with a public show of appreciation, underlining the length of his service and his commitment to the Barça shirt. The club thanked Torres for his dedication across those four and a half seasons and wished him well as he steps into the next chapter of his career.
The player himself sounded energised by the move. Calling PSG “an ambitious club,” Torres spoke of his excitement at starting what he described as a new adventure in the French capital. He made a point of name-checking the power structure at his new home, thanking president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, adviser Luis Campos and coach Luis Enrique for pushing to bring him in.
Now comes the hard part. Torres says he wants to help PSG “win as many trophies as possible.” In Paris, that’s not a slogan. It’s the minimum requirement.
