Harry Kane Commits to Bayern Munich Until 2029 with Club’s Highest-Paid Contract

Ballon d’Or winner Harry Kane has secured his future at Bayern Munich by signing a contract extension that runs until June 30, 2029. This deal marks the most lucrative in the club's history, confirming Kane as the highest-paid player at Bayern.

Record-Breaking Deal for Prolific Striker

According to sources cited by The Athletic, Kane’s new contract is the richest ever offered by Bayern Munich and makes him Europe’s highest-paid footballer in terms of base salary. Though some players earn more through bonuses, Kane’s fixed earnings lead the continent. Having joined Bayern in summer 2023 from Tottenham Hotspur, Kane has scored an impressive 156 goals in 161 competitive appearances. His time at the club has already brought two Bundesliga titles, the DFB-Pokal, and two German Supercups.

Achievements and Honors

The England captain not only claimed the Bundesliga top scorer award every season since joining but was also named Germany’s Footballer of the Year in 2026. In 2024, he became the first English player to win the Ballon d’Or since 2001, adding two European Golden Boots in the 2023-24 and 2025-26 campaigns.

"I feel at home at FC Bayern: I love the club, the fans, the city of Munich - we have a fantastic team and a fantastic coach in Vincent Kompany. It makes me very proud to be part of this club. My whole family is very happy here, I wanted to stay, I’m looking forward to the future and want to win many more titles with this great club," Kane shared on the official Bayern website after signing the extension.

Club Leadership Praises Kane’s Impact

Following his role in England’s third-place finish at the recent World Cup held across the US, Mexico, and Canada, Kane remains central to Bayern’s plans. Club president Herbert Hainer expressed his admiration, stating:

"What started as a major transfer has, over time, become a special piece of FC Bayern history. Harry Kane is fulfilling every promise that football can make, and he has secured his place in the hearts of the fans as one of the greatest personalities in the sport of our time. Kudos to Jan-Christian Dreesen and our sporting management. This is a special moment for FC Bayern."

Looking Ahead to Champions League Glory

With his contract situation settled, Kane’s attention turns to winning the Champions League, a trophy still missing from his extensive collection. Bayern’s management sees this three-year contract not as the final chapter but as a step toward keeping Kane as their key striker for years ahead.
