Jamal Musiala's Return to Full Training at Bayern
Cautious optimism surrounds Jamal Musiala after the Bayern and Germany star completed a full training session, with the club carefully managing his return following two worrying collapses in recent friendlies.
According to Bild, Musiala, 23, recently had his medication dosage increased after suffering short neurological disturbances of consciousness that led to those collapses. The episodes forced him out of action and raised serious concern inside the camp.
The medical team has since moved to stabilise the situation, and the coaching staff are in no mood to take risks. Internally, the message is clear: his comeback cannot be rushed.
Even so, Monday brought a clear step forward. Musiala took part in the entire team session in the afternoon, throwing himself into duels and completing all drills. Observers described him as looking in strong physical shape and firmly on track for a competitive return.
Part of the session took place on the pitch shielded by a protective screen, with the remainder moved to an adjacent, open pitch. Musiala stayed involved throughout, a sign that his workload is no longer being heavily restricted.
The positive news does not stop there for Vincent Kompany. With Musiala back in full training alongside Serge Gnabry, Bild reports that the Bayern coach now finally has his entire squad available. No player is currently listed as injured or working individually.
For a new coach trying to impose his ideas quickly, that kind of clean bill of health is rare. How long Bayern can keep it that way, with a long, demanding season ahead, is the next big test.
