Newcastle United Women have underlined their ambition with the signing of Ireland international forward Leanne Kiernan, prising her away after five years at Liverpool for an undisclosed fee.

A proven finisher on the move
Kiernan leaves Merseyside with a solid body of work behind her. Seventy-six appearances for Liverpool, 23 goals, and the reputation of a forward who stretches defences and punishes space.
