Leeds United Under-21s Kick Off 2026/27 Campaign Against Stoke City

Leeds United’s Under-21s launch their 2026/27 campaign tonight with a Premier League Cup trip to face Stoke City Under-21s, and the first teamsheet of the season is in.

Robbie Cook gets the nod in goal, trusted as the last line of defence for the opener.

In front of him, Leeds go with a back three of Jacob Howard, Louis Enahoro-Marcus and Jonny Howson, a compact unit tasked with setting the platform. Out wide, Freddie Lane and Louis Philpott provide the width as wing-backs, expected to shuttle relentlessly up and down the flanks.

Ollie Pickles wears the armband and anchors the midfield, joined in the centre by Sam Chambers. Ahead of them, Harvey Vincent, Sam Alker and Carrick Njinko form an energetic front three, looking to set the tone for the season in the final third.

On the bench, George Kenyon, Jacob Render, Loui Whitehead, Josh McDonald, Kenneth Mensah and a Trialist wait for their chance to make an impact as the evening unfolds.

Kick-off at Newcastle Town is at 7pm, as Leeds’ youngsters look to lay down an early marker in the cup.
