Liverpool Pursue Bradley Barcola with €115 Million Bid
Liverpool have moved decisively in their pursuit of Bradley Barcola, testing Paris Saint-Germain’s resolve with an offer in the region of €115 million for the France international.
L’Equipe report that the bid is on its way. PSG, though, are standing firm. The French champions want well over €150m for a player they still view as central to their project, even as the relationship edges towards a breaking point.
Barcola, 23, has made his position clear. He will not sign a new contract at the Parc des Princes and is increasingly drawn to the idea of a move to Anfield. That stance has forced PSG to reassess a line they have repeated for months: not for sale.
From cornerstone to flashpoint
Since arriving from Lyon in 2023, Barcola has grown into one of PSG’s most influential attackers. Across all competitions he has racked up 152 appearances, with 39 goals and 37 assists – numbers that underline both his productivity and his importance in the final third.
Last season he helped drive PSG to the biggest prizes on offer. A Champions League triumph. Another Ligue 1 title. His pace and direct running gave Luis Enrique’s side a cutting edge in transition and a constant outlet on the flanks.
Then came the fracture.
Despite his impact, Barcola was dropped for some of PSG’s marquee fixtures, including the Champions League final. Those decisions cut deep. The winger was left frustrated by being overlooked on the biggest stage, and that disappointment has fed into his refusal to extend his deal.
A winger built for the Premier League?
Barcola’s profile reads like a scouting department’s wish list for a modern wide forward. He is renowned for blistering acceleration, aggressive ball-carrying and sharp one‑v‑one dribbling. His natural habitat is the left wing, driving infield or attacking the byline, but he can also operate off the right or through the middle when required.
On the international stage, he underlined his pedigree at the summer World Cup, scoring three times in eight appearances for France. It was another reminder that his threat travels well beyond Ligue 1.
Little wonder Liverpool are pushing hard. A forward with his versatility and end product fits neatly into the club’s long-term attacking rebuild. The question is whether they are prepared to edge closer to PSG’s valuation in what would be one of the most expensive deals in their history.
PSG’s stance softens
For a long time, PSG’s message was unyielding: Barcola is not on the market. The club saw him as a pillar of their next cycle, a homegrown Ligue 1 product polished into a European star in Paris.
