Liverpool have turned their attention to Paris Saint-Germain's young Senegalese winger Ibrahim Mbaye, who is eager to find more playing time and open to a move to Anfield. The 18-year-old is pushing for regular first-team action away from Paris this summer.
Mbaye's Situation and Transfer Interest
According to GiveMeSport, Mbaye is likely to leave PSG in search of guaranteed minutes on the pitch. The French club values the attacker at around €50 million, a figure that could rise amid a heated market. While Liverpool have not made an official offer yet, Mbaye is reportedly enthusiastic about joining the Premier League side. Last season, Mbaye made 24 appearances in Ligue 1, scoring three goals, but PSG’s plans to bolster their wide attack with new signings like Monaco’s Maghnes Akliouche (for around €50 million) will likely reduce his chances further. Additionally, PSG’s pursuit of another winger following the missed opportunity to sign Yan Diomande from Real Madrid intensifies this challenge.
Bradley Barcola Talks Face Valuation Issues
Bradley Barcola, another PSG winger, is also on Liverpool’s radar. Initial discussions between the clubs have taken place, with Liverpool ready to offer approximately €100 million. Barcola is keen on moving to Liverpool, and personal terms are expected to be straightforward.
Negotiations stall mainly because PSG demands a huge €170 million fee, fueled by Barcola’s impressive World Cup performance—three goals and an assist—and his status as a two-time Champions League winner.
