Liverpool Target Ronald Araujo Loan from Barcelona

Liverpool are on the brink of bringing Ronald Araujo to Anfield, closing in on a season-long loan for the Barcelona defender that includes an option to buy.

The Uruguay international is expected to join up with Liverpool’s squad this weekend, a significant move for a club intent on reinforcing the spine of its team with proven pedigree rather than promise alone.

At 27, Araujo arrives with heavyweight credentials.
