Liverpool Signs Spanish Midfielder Natalia Ramos for Summer Rebuild

Liverpool’s summer rebuild in the women’s side took another deliberate step forward as Spanish midfielder Natalia Ramos joined from CD Tenerife Femenino, subject to visa approval and international clearance.

At 27, Ramos arrives not as a prospect but as a ready-made presence. She has been the heartbeat of Tenerife for years, racking up more than 200 appearances for the club and featuring 30 times in Spain’s top flight last season. Ten goals, five assists, and a constant influence in the middle of the pitch: her numbers underline why Liverpool moved.

"I'm really, really happy," Ramos said. "I'm very excited to achieve this new step in my life and I'm very grateful for this new opportunity.

"For me it was a very easy decision and I'm very, very happy, with a lot of feelings and emotions because I know who the club is, the respect [it has].

"I feel very happy and privileged to take this shirt and sign at the club."

This is not a leap into the unknown for an untested youngster. Ramos already carries international pedigree, having represented Spain at Under-17 and Under-19 level and played her part in the squad that lifted the 2017 Women's European Under-19 Championship in Northern Ireland. That tournament win hardened a core of players used to expectation and pressure; Liverpool are now tapping into that experience.

Her arrival continues a clear pattern. Liverpool have been busy, and they have been targeted. Ramos becomes the sixth signing of the summer, following Mao Itamura, Vivien Endemann, Sara Agrez, Mari Ward and Khiara Keating into the dressing room.

Piece by piece, the squad is being reshaped. The question now is not whether Liverpool are building, but how high this new-look side can climb with Ramos patrolling their midfield.
