Manchester United face AC Milan in Poland on Saturday in what feels far more than a routine pre-season friendly. It’s a final dress rehearsal before the Premier League kicks off – and a reunion laced with tension.

Amorim under the microscope
While United have found some balance, Milan arrive with problems. Amorim is still searching for his first win in charge. A 3-0 defeat to Chelsea was a jolt, and draws with Celtic and Inter Milan have done little to ease the pressure. A reunion with his former club comes at an awkward time.
He does, however, have a new weapon. Goncalo Ramos, the headline signing of Milan’s window, is pushing for a first start after coming off the bench against Chelsea. If Amorim wants a statement performance, unleashing Ramos from the beginning would be one way to chase it.
