Besiktas Put on Ice
Aouna’s update underlined just how quickly the power dynamic had flipped. Trabzonspor, he reported, are now close to a full agreement with Salah after entering advanced talks with his camp.
Besiktas, who had already reached a verbal agreement over a 1+1-year deal worth €10 million net per season plus €2 million in bonuses, have officially suspended negotiations “until further notice.”
They had the framework. They had the player’s initial approval. They no longer have control.
The contrast between the two offers is stark. Besiktas were banking on a shorter-term, incentive-laden package. Trabzonspor have come in heavier, cleaner, and more decisive with a straight two-year proposal at a higher base salary.
