Real Madrid have cut loose one of their most intriguing academy prospects, confirming the sale of 19-year-old left-back Victor Valdepenas to Fiorentina in a deal worth eight million euros.

A long goodbye from Valdebebas

The club highlighted his six seasons in the academy, his first-team debut and that Youth League triumph, before thanking him for his commitment and wishing him and his family success in Florence.
Fiorentina’s long bet

Valdepenas has signed a contract running until 2031, an eight-year commitment that signals how firmly the Viola believe in his development. For a 19-year-old with just one top-flight appearance, that is a bold move, but also a calculated one in a market where young, athletic full-backs are gold dust.
The structure of the deal tells its own story. Eight million euros up front for Madrid, half of any future sale reserved for them if Fiorentina turn raw talent into a major asset. If Valdepenas becomes a mainstay in Serie A or attracts interest from Europe’s heavyweights, both clubs stand to win.
