Republic of Ireland Secure 3-0 Win Over Israel in Debrecen

The Republic of Ireland recorded their first victory of the Nations League Group B3 season by defeating Israel 3-0 in Debrecen, Hungary. This result came just days after Ireland's tough loss in Kosovo, marking a significant rebound for the team.

Troy Parrott opened the scoring in the 14th minute, netting his 12th goal for the national team by finishing off a cutback from James Abankwah. The Irish quickly doubled their lead two minutes later when Adam Idah was set up by Jack Moylan and calmly placed the ball past Israeli goalkeeper Daniel Peretz.

In the 25th minute, Jack Moylan added a third goal, firing home his first competitive international goal after driving into the box. Despite Israel's attempts to respond early in the second half, Caoimhin Kelleher was solid in goal, denying efforts from Anan Khalaili, Dor Peretz, and Eliel Peretz.

The atmosphere before the game remained tense, as the Irish players refrained from handshakes and bowed their heads during the Israeli anthem. Nevertheless, the team showed confidence and control throughout the match, managing to keep Israel at bay until the final whistle.

Looking ahead, the Republic of Ireland will host Austria in Dublin on Thursday, while Israel will stay in Debrecen to face Kosovo.
