Spanish outlet Sport reports that talks between the Catalan club and City have moved forward after Barça submitted a third offer for the Spain international. The gap between the two clubs is narrowing, and one powerful force is driving the deal: Rodri himself.

According to transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, Rodri is in almost daily contact with several of his Spain team-mates already at Barcelona, firing off messages that leave no doubt about his intentions. The 2024 Ballon d'Or winner is said to be pushing hard from his side, making clear how badly he wants the transfer wrapped up.
