Romelu Lukaku Offered to Fenerbahce Again

Romelu Lukaku’s future took another twist on Friday, as the Belgian striker was once again offered to Fenerbahce while he continues his search for a new club and a fresh start.

At 33, Belgium’s all-time leading scorer finds himself in a curious limbo. He is entering the final year of his contract with Napoli, but after a disappointing 2025–26 campaign on a personal level, he is not expected to be Massimiliano Allegri’s first-choice centre-forward when the new season kicks off. The hierarchy in Naples has shifted; Lukaku is still there, but no longer at the centre of the project.

Napoli’s stance is clear. Reports in Italy indicate the club is ready to let him go for a fee of no more than €10 million, a modest figure for a striker of his pedigree and experience. Yet, despite that accessible price tag and months of speculation, his exit from the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona has not moved beyond rumour and suggestion.

Other markets have already stirred. In recent days, Lukaku has been linked with a move to MLS side Atlanta United, a switch that would take him to America and into a very different footballing landscape. Now, Friday’s reports confirm that his name has again been pushed towards Istanbul.

According to Doruk Tigemer of Turkish broadcaster TRT Spor, Lukaku has been offered to Fenerbahce once more. This is not a new courtship. His profile was presented to the Turkish giants during the winter transfer window, and again around a month ago, as intermediaries tested the waters for a potential deal.

So far, nothing concrete. No official negotiations have taken place between Fenerbahce and Napoli, nor between the Turkish club and the player’s representatives. The proposal is on the table, the price is known, and Saudi clubs have also stepped into the picture, ready to exploit any hesitation.

For now, Lukaku waits. Napoli wait. Fenerbahce watch. A proven goalscorer sits on the market at €10 million. The question is no longer whether he is available — it is who will finally move first.
