Romelu Lukaku has landed in Istanbul. Fenerbahce made it official on Wednesday: the former Manchester United and Chelsea striker has joined the Turkish giants, a statement signing for a club desperate to end a decade of frustration.

Now the goals are expected to flow on the Bosphorus. His arrival adds serious weight to an attack already sharpened by the capture of former Manchester United winger Mason Greenwood. Fenerbahce’s forward line suddenly looks loaded, and that is exactly how the club wanted it.
