Hull’s Sorba Thomas Unhurt After Car Crash Near Training Ground

Hull City winger Sorba Thomas escaped injury after being involved in a car crash close to the club’s training ground on Friday morning.

The 27-year-old’s grey Land Rover Defender ended up on its roof on Millhouse Woods Lane in Cottingham, a short distance from Hull’s base. Images from the scene showed the vehicle overturned with its windows smashed, underlining the force of the impact.

Thomas, who only joined the Tigers from Championship side Stoke earlier this month, managed to walk away from the wreckage.

Humberside Police confirmed emergency services were still at the scene as investigations continued and urged the public to stay away from the area while they worked.

Hull City moved quickly to calm growing concern among supporters as photos of the crash circulated online. In a statement, the club said it was “relieved” to learn Thomas had not been hurt.

“The club is aware of images of Sorba's car circulating on social media and can reassure supporters that he has sustained no injuries and emerged from his vehicle completely unscathed,” the statement added.

For Hull, the focus now returns to football. For Thomas, who has just started a new chapter in his career, it already feels like a narrow escape.
