There’s been talk linking him to clubs like Manchester United, but transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reveals that Al-Hilal are now actively negotiating with Everton.
The 26-year-old Senegal international is said to be open to moving, though the clubs still need to agree on a fee. Al-Hilal seem eager to add another notable player after recently securing a deal for Crysencio Summerville from West Ham United.
Bournemouth Close to Signing Antonio Silva
Bournemouth appear close to finalising a deal for 22-year-old centre-back Antonio Silva from Benfica. Silva became a target for the Cherries once it became clear he would be leaving Benfica this summer. Progress had been slow, but reports from Record suggest the transfer is near completion, pending only minor details.
Silva is expected to play in Benfica's upcoming Europa League match against St Gallen, likely his last before moving. The Portuguese defender has played 182 times for Benfica across all competitions and earned 20 caps for Portugal. Once seen as one of the top young defenders worldwide, Silva has struggled to regain his peak form recently.
Newcastle Eyeing Goalkeeper Lukas Hornicek
Newcastle United have shown interest in Czech goalkeeper Lukas Hornicek, although they have not yet made a formal offer. Hornicek played 55 games for Braga last season and has totaled 88 appearances since breaking into their first team.
Sky Sports News reports Newcastle are looking to strengthen their goalkeeping options this summer. Hornicek reportedly has a release clause set at £30 million and has already turned down a move to Hull City. Standing 6ft 6in tall, he could become Newcastle’s new first-choice goalkeeper, especially as Nick Pope remains linked with a possible exit from St James’ Park.
