Rangers have reportedly finalized a deal to sign Hannover forward Daisuke Yokota. After starting their 2026-27 Scottish Premiership campaign with a disappointing 1-1 draw against Dundee United, the Glasgow club looks to strengthen their squad to challenge for the title once again.

According to German transfer expert Florian Plettenberg, Rangers are finalizing the permanent signing of Yokota. The 26-year-old had an impressive run last season with Hannover, contributing to nine goals in 30 appearances in Bundesliga 2. The deal is said to be worth an initial €3 million plus add-ons, including a sell-on clause.
Yokota is expected to travel to Scotland on August 4 for his medical and to complete a long-term contract at Rangers' home ground.
