Victor Osimhen's Future Amid Arsenal Rumors
In the mixed zone, the questions came quickly and all sounded the same: north London, Arsenal, the Premier League. Victor Osimhen did not bite, but he did not slam the door shut either.
“There are always rumours during the transfer windows,” the Nigeria international said, choosing his words carefully. “I’ll focus on my job. I’m focused on my work. We’ll see and think about what comes next then.”
It was a measured answer from a forward at the centre of a tug-of-war between speculation and obligation. For now, Galatasaray still claim his commitment. And he made a point of underlining it.
“It’s going to be a tough season. The team is aware of that. I’m ready to give everything for this club. This was an important wake-up call. It was a wake-up call for the players too,” he said, framing a difficult night as a line in the sand rather than the start of a slide.

The noise around him will not fade quickly. Arsenal’s reported interest, raised during discussions over Martinelli and Nwaneri, has deepened the sense that this could be a pivotal window for Osimhen’s career. A striker of his profile, in his prime years, will always attract glances from England’s elite.
Yet Galatasaray cannot afford to view him as a tradeable asset alone. He is central to their attacking blueprint, the reference point around which Buruk’s side is supposed to click. As long as he wears their colours, keeping him sharp – mentally and physically – is non-negotiable.
The defensive structure will need urgent work before next weekend’s league fixture. The back line must tighten, the distances between units must shrink, and the team must start to resemble a side ready for the intensity of continental football. Buruk will demand more aggression, more compactness, more clarity.
