Amankwah Forson Joins Hapoel Be'er Sheva on Loan

Amankwah Forson has left Norwich City for a season-long loan spell with Israeli club Hapoel Be'er Sheva, handing the Ghana international a fresh stage in European competition.

The 23-year-old only arrived at Carrow Road in 2024, signing a four-year deal after joining from Austrian side RB Salzburg. Since then he has become a regular option in the Canaries’ midfield, making 44 appearances in all competitions and scoring four goals.

Now he steps into a different kind of challenge.

Hapoel Be'er Sheva, six-time champions of Israel, have already booked their place in the league phase of this season’s Europa League. Forson is set to test himself against heavyweight opposition there, with the Israeli side drawn to face Juventus, AFC Bournemouth and Besiktas.

For Norwich, it is a chance for one of their key young assets to gain experience on a European stage. For Forson, it is a loan that could redefine the next phase of his career.
