Bournemouth Sign Michele Di Gregorio on Loan from Juventus
Bournemouth have secured Michele Di Gregorio from Juventus on a paid loan, a deal that could turn into a permanent move worth close to €13 million plus add-ons.
Both clubs announced the agreement on Tuesday morning, confirming that the Italian goalkeeper will spend the 2026-27 season on the south coast as Andoni Iraola looks to strengthen his last line of defence.
The numbers behind the deal
Juventus, as is their habit, laid out the financial details in full.
Bournemouth will pay €1.3m for the one-year loan. That figure can rise by a further €800,000 if Di Gregorio hits a series of performance-related targets over the campaign.
The agreement also includes an option to buy at the end of the season for €12.7m, payable over three financial years. On top of that, Juventus could collect up to €1.5m in bonuses, pushing the overall package close to the €15m mark if everything falls into place.

“Michele is a goalkeeper with excellent qualities and valuable experience at the highest level,” said Bournemouth director Tiago Pinto, underlining why the club moved decisively to bring him in.
“He has consistently demonstrated his ability in Serie A and in European competitions, and we believe he will be an excellent addition to our squad.”
Di Gregorio arrives with a solid body of work from his two seasons in Turin. Across 84 appearances for Juventus, he conceded 84 goals and kept 36 clean sheets, proving himself in Serie A and on Champions League nights alike.
Those numbers tell a simple story: when Juventus were organised in front of him, he delivered.

His departure is part of a broader overhaul in goal at Juventus this summer. The Serie A giants have already moved Mattia Perin to Serie B side Palermo, clearing space in a department that had grown crowded and expensive.
Now Di Gregorio heads to the Premier League, Juventus bank a structured deal, and Bournemouth take a calculated swing on a goalkeeper tested under the brightest lights.
If the Italian settles quickly on the south coast, that option to buy may not stay an option for long.
