Edo Queens Coach Kennedy Boboye Vows Full-Blooded Side Against Ampem Darkoa Ladies

Edo Queens head coach Kennedy Boboye has vowed to send out a full-blooded side for their final group clash with Ghana’s Ampem Darkoa Ladies at the WAFU B Women’s Champions League, despite already booking a semi-final place.

The Nigerian champions have taken maximum points from their opening two games, but Boboye is refusing to treat matchday three as a dead rubber. For him, there is no such thing.

“We don’t have any player to rest; it’s only one of our defenders who was ruled out of the tournament due to a head injury,” he said ahead of the tie, underlining that competition for places remains fierce.

One player down, but no easing off.

Boboye stressed that every available member of the squad is on standby and ready to empty the tank when called upon.

“All the players in the squad will come out and play when needed, and they will surely give their all to the team,” he insisted.

The stakes behind that commitment are clear. The team that emerges as WAFU B champions will secure a coveted ticket to the 2026 CAF Women’s Champions League — a stage Edo Queens fully intend to reach at full speed, not by cruising through the gears.
