Ferran Torres Set for PSG Move as Barcelona Opens the Door
Ferran Torres is moving closer to the Camp Nou exit, and this time the path looks clearly marked: Paris.
According to Sky Deutschland’s Florian Plettenberg, the 26-year-old has reached a personal agreement with Paris Saint-Germain over a transfer, a development that has been in the works for several days. With the player’s side settled, the two clubs have now opened talks to try and turn intention into ink on paper.
Barcelona, crucially, are not standing in the way.
Barcelona ready to cash in
This is not a typical saga of a club clinging to a key forward. Reports in recent days have painted a different picture: Barcelona are not intent on keeping Ferran “at all costs”, a stance that inevitably smooths the path to Paris.
Talks over a new deal at Barça had already hit a wall. His current contract runs until mid-2027, but negotiations over an extension have reportedly “completely stalled”, prompting PSG to circle with growing confidence. Sky Italia had already revealed in mid-July that the French champions were keen to do business with Barcelona, and the situation has only tilted further in their favour since.
Barcelona will look to cash in while Ferran’s stock is high. The forward’s decisive extra-time strike for Spain in the 1–0 win over Argentina, a goal that delivered the world title, has sharpened interest and reinforced his status on the market.
PSG rebuild their attack
In Paris, the need is obvious. Gonçalo Ramos has departed for AC Milan, Lee Kang-in has joined Atlético Madrid, and the attacking puzzle at PSG is being rebuilt piece by piece. Bradley Barcola appears almost certain to leave as well, and Ibrahim Mbaye’s future remains unclear.
