Lamine Yamal Targeted in Break-In Attempt After World Cup Success
The night that should have been all about celebration for Lamine Yamal took a sharp and unsettling turn back home in Catalonia.
Just hours after helping the National Team book their place in the World Cup final, the Barça prodigy became the target of an attempted break-in at his house in Esplugues de Llobregat. The incident unfolded in the early hours, at around four in the morning, while the football world was still buzzing about his latest performance.
According to security sources, private guards stationed at the property spotted two intruders on surveillance cameras. Both were wearing balaclavas and were seen climbing the wall surrounding the house, clearly attempting to gain access.
The reaction was immediate. As soon as the would-be thieves realised they had been detected, they abandoned the attempt, bolted from the wall, and disappeared into the night before they could get any closer to the home itself.
The security team then alerted the Mossos d'Esquadra. The Criminal Investigation Division (DIC) has already taken charge of the case, which is being treated as an attempted burglary with force.
