Manchester United Target Sweden Winger Monica Jusu Bah

Manchester United are set to add serious pace and power to their attack after agreeing terms to sign Sweden winger Monica Jusu Bah from BK Hacken.

The 23-year-old is expected to complete the move before next Thursday’s Women’s Super League transfer deadline, with only the final formalities standing between her and a switch to England. United will pay a fee to Hacken, though the exact amount remains undisclosed.

Jusu Bah is locked into a long contract in Sweden. She signed an extension with BK Hacken in September 2025 which runs through to 2028, a deal that underlined her status as one of the club’s key assets and ensured any buyer would have to pay.

United have decided she is worth it.

The winger has spent her entire career in Sweden, first breaking through at Umea before earning her move to BK Hacken in 2023. Her rise has been steady rather than flashy, but this year she has stepped firmly into the European spotlight.

In May, she helped BK Hacken lift the inaugural Women’s Europa Cup, adding continental silverware to her growing résumé and proving she can deliver on a big stage.

Her international career is gathering speed too. Jusu Bah has already made 11 appearances for Sweden and featured in all six of their Women’s World Cup qualifying matches this year, a sign of the trust placed in her by the national team setup.

United are not finished yet. The club are understood to be pushing to bring in at least one more signing before the window closes next week, as they look to reshape and deepen their squad for the season ahead.

The move for Jusu Bah continues a busy summer in Manchester. Defender Andrea Medina has arrived from Atletico Madrid and goalkeeper Janina Leitzig has joined from Leicester City, strengthening the spine of the team.

Now United are closing in on a winger who has already conquered Sweden and Europe. The question is how quickly Monica Jusu Bah can bring that form to the WSL.
