Manchester United Signs Sweden Winger Monica Jusu Bah

Manchester United have struck an agreement to sign Sweden international winger Monica Jusu Bah from BK Häcken, in a move that underlines their late push in the Women’s Super League transfer window.

The 23-year-old is expected to complete the transfer before next Thursday’s deadline, with only the final formalities left before she joins Marc Skinner’s squad.

Jusu Bah extended her contract with Häcken as recently as September 2025 and is tied to the Swedish club until 2028, so United will pay a transfer fee, though the figure remains undisclosed.

A product of Swedish football, Jusu Bah came through at Umeå and built her reputation there before earning a switch to BK Häcken in 2023. Her rise has been steady rather than flashy, but the impact has been clear.

In May, she played a key role as Häcken lifted the inaugural Women’s Europa Cup, adding European silverware to her résumé and drawing more attention from clubs across the continent.

On the international stage, Jusu Bah has already collected 11 caps for Sweden and featured in all six of their Women’s World Cup qualifying matches this year, underlining her growing importance at national-team level.

United are not done yet. The club are understood to be targeting at least one more signing before the window closes next week, as they attempt to sharpen a squad aiming to close the gap at the top of the WSL.

The deal for Jusu Bah follows the arrivals of defender Andrea Medina from Atletico Madrid and goalkeeper Janina Leitzig from Leicester City, signalling a clear statement: United are rebuilding with intent, and they are doing it quickly.
