Millwall Sets £15m Price for Femi Azeez Amid Brighton's Transfer Pursuit
Millwall have slapped a £15m price tag on winger Femi Azeez as Brighton push to get a deal done before Tuesday’s transfer deadline.
The Premier League club have already seen two bids knocked back in recent weeks, both totalling just over £10m. For now, that leaves them around £5m short of Millwall’s valuation.
Azeez, a Nigeria international, is understood to be keen on the move to the Amex Stadium. Brighton see him as one of their priority signings in the final days of the window, and their interest was first flagged by BBC Sport.
Millwall’s stance is clear. They are ready to let the 23-year-old take the next step in his career, but only if their demands are met. Until then, they hold the line.
The situation has already spilled onto the pitch. Azeez has been left out of Millwall’s last three matches, despite coming off a standout campaign: 11 goals and 11 assists in 35 league games last season, form that earned him a place in the PFA Championship Team of the Year.
It has been a rapid rise. Millwall picked him up from Reading in 2024 for around £1m, and he is now into the final 24 months of his contract. The leap in valuation underlines both his development and Millwall’s determination to cash in at the right price.
There is interest closer to home too. Championship rivals Wrexham are also believed to be monitoring the situation, but Azeez’s priority is understood to be a move to the Premier League.
With the clock ticking and Brighton circling, the question is simple: who blinks first, Millwall or the south-coast club chasing one of the Championship’s most productive wide men?
