Philippe Coutinho Joins Neymar at Santos with Deal Until Season's End
Philippe Coutinho has officially signed with Santos until the end of the season, joining his former Brazil teammate Neymar. Coutinho's career has taken him across top European leagues, most notably Liverpool, where he made a big impact. Return to England and Move Home
In an attempt to revive his career, Coutinho returned to England with Aston Villa, first on loan in January 2022 before making the deal permanent. His contract was initially set to run until 2026, but an agreement allowed him to return to Brazil early, joining Vasco da Gama again.
At Vasco, Coutinho appeared 124 times and scored 22 goals. The stint ended prematurely, leading to his recent free-agent status before signing with Santos.
