RB Leipzig Accelerate Move for Matias Fernandez-Pardo

RB Leipzig are accelerating their move for Matias Fernandez-Pardo as the transfer window ticks into its final days.

Sky Germany report that Die Roten Bullen have already reached an agreement on personal terms with the Belgium international, clearing a major hurdle in the chase for the Lille forward. The talks have now shifted firmly to the fee.

Leipzig are understood to have tabled an offer worth around €32–33 million, a package that includes what are described as realistic bonuses for Fernandez-Pardo. It’s a bid that underlines how highly the Bundesliga side rate the 21-year-old, who has produced 12 goals and 11 assists in 71 appearances for Lille.

This is not a one-man rebuild. Leipzig are also closing in on a deal to bring Christopher Nkunku back to the club on loan from AC Milan, in what would be a high-profile return for the Frenchman.

If both moves get over the line before the window shuts, Marco Rose will walk into the autumn with a very different set of attacking weapons – and a clear signal that Leipzig intend to stay right in the thick of the Bundesliga and European fight.
