Real Madrid Squad for La Liga Clash with Malaga
José Mourinho has named his Real Madrid squad for Sunday’s La Liga trip to Malaga, and once again it comes with some notable absentees and a strong youth flavour.
Tchouaméni and Endrick stay out
Aurélien Tchouaméni misses out yet again. The midfielder has been struggling with persistent pain since returning from the post‑World Cup leave granted to him, and his stop‑start season continues with another enforced break from the matchday group. He has managed only a handful of appearances since coming back and drops out of contention once more.
Endrick is also not involved. The forward is following a tailored programme aimed at keeping him clear of physical issues across the campaign, so Mourinho and his staff are clearly refusing to take risks at this early stage.
Defender Raúl Asencio joins them on the sidelines, ruled out by shin problems.
They are not alone in the treatment room. Éder Militão, Ferland Mendy, Rodrygo and Thiago Pitarch are all unavailable and will play no part against Malaga, leaving Mourinho to reshuffle again.
Youth promoted as Mourinho patches squad
The absences open the door for the academy. Mourinho has turned to the youth ranks to complete his list, calling up Mario Rivas, Sicetero and Alexis Ceria. All three step into a squad packed with senior stars but stretched by physical setbacks.
