The headline absentee is Simon Adingra. Le Bris is expected to stick with a familiar structure, trusting that sharper execution rather than wholesale change will bring a different result.
A possible Sunderland XI: Roefs; Meunier, Ballard, Alderete, Mandava; Sadiki, Xhaka; Hume, Le Fee, Angulo; Brobbey.
That setup leans on Granit Xhaka’s authority in midfield, with Sadiki alongside him to anchor and disrupt. Ahead of them, the creative burden falls on Enzo Le Fée, with Hume and Angulo tasked with supplying Brian Brobbey and stretching Fulham’s back line.
Without Adingra, Angulo’s role grows. He scored at Portman Road; now he has to become a regular source of threat, not just flashes of promise.
