Thomas Tuchel Considers Max Dowman for England Call-Up Amid Injuries
Thomas Tuchel is seriously considering fast‑tracking Arsenal prodigy Max Dowman into England’s senior setup as injuries rip through his Nations League plans.
The 16-year-old, already a headline name in youth circles, is under active consideration for a call into the senior training camp at St George’s Park, with Tuchel scrambling to reshape his group ahead of four fixtures against Spain, Czechia and Croatia.

Dowman missed out on England’s 2026 World Cup squad, which was never a surprise given his age, but his club trajectory has started to push him into the conversation around Tuchel’s long-term plans. There has been talk of a loan move to secure more minutes this season, yet indications are that Arsenal are more likely to keep him in-house, such is their belief in his potential and usefulness.
