Worthing Sign Striker Jordan Young from Torquay United

Worthing have moved to sharpen their attacking edge by signing striker Jordan Young from National League South rivals Torquay United for an undisclosed fee.

The 27-year-old arrives with a proven eye for goal. Since joining Torquay from Yeovil Town in October 2024, Young has hit 35 goals in 88 appearances, a return that made him one of United’s key threats at this level.

Worthing manager Adam Hinshelwood made it clear why he pushed to get the deal done, highlighting Young’s ability from set pieces and his knack for producing something out of nothing. Hinshelwood described his new forward as a player with “great dead-ball delivery” who can both score and create from unexpected positions, and stressed that he expects Young to become a major figure in the side.

Torquay's Interests

Torquay, meanwhile, have protected their longer-term interests. The club confirmed that the agreement includes a provision ensuring they retain a “significant financial interest” in any future transfer involving Young.
