Italian reporter Nico Schira stated that Chelsea have tabled an offer worth €65m (around £56m) for Koné, even though Roma coach Gian Piero Gasperini considers him “non-transferable”. Schira added that the decision now rests with the player and club owner Dan Friedkin.
Roma, for their part, are reluctant to sell. Koné is central to their plans, and losing him this late in the window would hurt. But big bids have a way of testing resolve, and Chelsea’s interest is not going away.

The story moved again with a fresh update from Gianluca Di Marzio. He described the Koné move to Chelsea as an “advanced” deal and suggested the fee could land at around £52m rather than the €65m figure mentioned elsewhere.
Di Marzio also noted that Gittens is close to joining Roma on loan, hinting at a wider negotiation between the two clubs that could help smooth Koné’s route to the Premier League.
