Crystal Palace Sign Defender Axel Disasi on Loan from Chelsea

Crystal Palace have moved to strengthen their back line with the loan signing of defender Axel Disasi from Chelsea, the club confirmed on Wednesday.

The 28-year-old arrives at Selhurst Park with solid Premier League experience already behind him. Since joining Chelsea from Monaco in 2023, Disasi has made 61 appearances for the Stamford Bridge side, featuring across domestic and European competitions.

Last season, Chelsea sent the France international on loan to West Ham United, where he added 14 Premier League games to his resume. That spell kept him sharp in England’s top flight and ensured he remained on the radar of clubs looking for a commanding presence in defence.

“I'm very happy. The club has been going in a very good direction, so I think it was the right place for me to keep going,” he said in a statement.

Capped by France, Disasi was part of the squad that reached the 2022 World Cup final in Qatar, underlining the pedigree now added to Palace’s dressing room.
