For now, though, both men will have to wait to take their on-pitch chemistry – and duels – into a match setting. Neither Diomande nor Cucurella will feature in Real Madrid’s friendly against Deportivo La Coruña on Wednesday, with both still short of full physical fitness after their summer moves and international exertions.
