Girona FC Secures Marlex Renewal for 2026/27 Season
Girona FC have secured a key off-pitch victory, tying down regional partner Marlex through to the 2026/27 season in a deal that underlines both ambition and identity.
The Human Resources firm, founded in 1996 and now a heavyweight in its sector with more than 80 offices across the peninsula, is extending a relationship that began in the 2023/24 campaign. The agreement keeps Marlex on the back of the first team shirt and embedded in the club’s youth structure, a visible badge of local backing at every level of Girona’s football pyramid.
President's Remarks
For president Delfí Geli, the renewal is more than a sponsorship line on a balance sheet. It is a sign that Girona’s project still convinces those closest to it.
“We are very pleased that Marlex continues to stand by us for another season,” Geli said. “Their confidence in the project demonstrates the strength of the relationship we have built over the years and allows us to keep moving forward with the support of companies that share our values and our way of understanding the Club's growth.”
That word – values – runs through the partnership. Marlex, built on Human Resources services and long-term relationships, pitches itself on attitude, commitment and teamwork, the same pillars Girona FC like to attach to their own rise. Season after season, that shared language has turned into a shared strategy.
Civic Commitment
If Geli speaks for the club, Àlex Sanabras gives the view from the city. The Marlex CEO made it clear this is not just a commercial alignment but a civic one.
“As a company from Girona, continuing alongside Girona FC is a testament to our commitment to the Club and the city that has seen us born and grow,” he said. “We are starting a new season where it will be necessary to stay united to make the Club's return to the first division possible. Now more than ever, orgull gironí.”
That last phrase – “orgull gironí”, Girona pride – is the emotional core of the deal. The club are pushing to climb back into the elite, and they want that journey to look and feel like a local story, driven by people and companies who know the streets around the stadium as well as the seats inside it.
On the pitch, the task is clear: fight their way back to the top division. Off it, this renewal signals that Girona intend to make that push with a strong regional backbone, a club and a company moving in lockstep towards the same target.
