Juventus Secure Jhon Lucumi on Long-Term Deal from Bologna
Juventus have officially signed Colombian defender Jhon Lucumi from Bologna, locking him down with a contract running until June 2030. The 28-year-old centre-back has chosen to boost the Bianconeri’s defense for the 2026-27 season, turning down five other offers across Europe.
Deal Details and Player Commitment
The transfer involved an initial fee of €18 million, with up to €2 million in additional payments possible. Lucumi will earn around €3 million net per season over his four-year stay in Turin. His decision to join Juventus highlights a strong preference for the club, showing clear intent to make an impact at his new home.
A Defender at His Peak
Lucumi began his professional journey with Deportivo Cali at 17 and later made a name for himself in Belgium with Genk starting in 2018.
