Pedrerol said, "I was told at the club they would ask him about it tomorrow because they had seen images they hadn’t noticed before, and want to check if everything is fine."

Balde is especially linked with a major move to Manchester United, and journalist Jota Jordi shared insights suggesting the emotional impact on Yamal is significant. Jordi explained, "They’re like brothers to him, and I’ve been told it really hurts Lamine."

Barcelona coach Hansi Flick quickly dismissed ideas of tension or poor attitude from Yamal ahead of their match against Athletic Bilbao. He attributed the substitution to a minor health issue, saying the player wasn’t fully fit for the game.

"He had a minor issue, a headache," Flick explained. "Lamine is a genius, which is clear. He had three weeks off and only trained a few days. It's normal he's not at his peak."

Flick praised Yamal’s contribution in the match, noting his defensive efforts and the assist he provided for Raphinha. "We need to find a way for him to reach his best form again," the coach added. "His 60 minutes were valuable. He pressed well on the first goal and set up Raphinha on the second. He offers us more options and helped a lot. We'll watch how he develops because he’s exceptional."
