“We have a valid contract and we are committed to it with Liverpool, and if the club does not offer to renew the contract, that is their right. At the moment, Alexis must give his best for the club in every game during the weekend.
“Alexis is not disappointed. This is a decision made by the club, and we do not judge their decisions, we just prepare for what is to come.”
The message is clear: no talks, no complaints, just work. Liverpool are content to let the current deal run. The player is content to prove himself every week. For now.
Real Madrid rumours shut down
