Max Eberl's Homecoming at Bayern: A New Chapter

Max Eberl has tied his future to Bayern, and for the former academy player it feels less like a career move and more like a homecoming sealed in ink.

Having risen through the club’s youth system before returning in a leadership role, Eberl stressed that his new contract is about pushing Bayern even higher. He spoke of a lifelong bond with the club and a clear determination to stay on the ambitious course already set.

“Bayern has been close to my heart ever since my time in the youth ranks,” Eberl said, framing the extension as a continuation of a journey rather than a fresh start.

Standing alongside his fellow board members, he underlined a shared goal: to keep driving the club towards sustained sporting success for what he called the entire “Bayern family”.

The backing of the supervisory board, he noted, carries real weight. Their decision to extend his deal is, in his words, a “valuable vote of confidence” – one he welcomed with obvious satisfaction and a promise to keep doing “everything I can” to deliver on the pitch.

Jan-Christian Dreesen echoed that sense of purpose. The Bayern chief executive made a point of thanking the supervisory board for their trust and spoke of renewed energy as he continues his work at the club.

He described a united front: the executive board, staff, members and fans all pulling in the same direction to ensure Bayern stays the powerhouse its supporters expect. Keeping the club at the very top, Dreesen insisted, is what drives the leadership every day.

And he left no doubt about the scale of their ambition. Even with Bayern’s trophy-laden history, Dreesen stressed that “we still have a lot more to achieve.”
