The milestone came just before halftime. After a slick one-two with Ousmane Dembele, Mbappe evaded Sweden’s Viktor Gyokeres and fired past goalkeeper Jacob Widell Zetterstrom. This marked Mbappe’s ninth goal in World Cup knockout matches, surpassing the record once held by Brazilian greats Leonidas and Ronaldo.
